Make Invoicing Easier with DP Billing
DP Billing has

DP Billing was the first add-on
module for DrugPak and as we said, it continues to be the most popular
add-on. The simple idea is that you setup your prices in DP
Billing and enter your results into DrugPak. With a few easy
steps, DP Billing combines your prices together with your result
records and creates accurate, easy-to-read invoices.
Various Prices
It
is normal for organizations in the substance abuse testing industry to
have a wide variety of prices depending on result volume, types of
services, and special arrangements. DP Billing can address all
kinds of price variations from the simple to the complex. If you
charge different prices for pre-employment testing or random
selections, for DOT or non-mandated testing, and/or based on any other
factors, DP Billing makes it easy to setup your price schedule and
calculate your invoices. If your prices depend on which
laboratory or collection site is used, all charges can be computed
automatically. If one client gets a different price than others
you can easily customize their price. Advanced features make it
possible to compute prices on other variables including what time the
collection was performed, which MRO verified the result, and even
customizable values!
Invoice Layouts
DP
Billing allows various formats for the invoice such as grouping,
subtotaling, and custom layouts. The detail text can be
customized to your (or your clients') requirements (e.g. display
SSN-masked or plain, CCF# and name, just CCF#, or a combination of many
variables).
Export to Accounts Receivable
Once
your invoices are ready to send to your clients you can also send the
invoice data to your accounting software. DP Billing is equipped
with export functions compatible with Peachtree Accounting, QuickBooks,
and custom solutions can be created for other accounting
packages. When you receive payment on your invoices, your A/R
software will already be waiting for them!

The Merge Locations Tool 
There is a handy tool in DrugPak
version 6 that makes it possible to merge two collection sites, or two home
bases or two laboratories. For example, say you are entering a result that was
collected at Center Collections, and you cannot find that collection site in
DrugPak. Of course you would add that collection site and then go ahead with
entering the result. Then a month later while reviewing your results you find
out that Center Collections is also known as Collections of Centre County, and
that collection site is already in DrugPak. Now you have two records for the
same place. The best way to clean up your DrugPak data is to use the Merge
Locations tool.
In the Tools menu, Advanced, look for Merge Locations, and then select
Collection Sites. Select the site that you want to remove as the "Old Location"
and the one that you want to keep as the "Merge Into". Normally you would also
want to delete the extra one, so turn on the check box to "Delete Old
Location". Click OK and then all of the results and other DrugPak records that
referenced the old location will now be switched to the new one.

DrugPak.com e-mail
Effective May 15, 2009, DrugPak staff members are no longer receiving e-mail through "scanlonassociates.com" addresses.
DrugPak
staff have been using "drugpak.com" e-mail addresses for several years
now. During this time all "scanlonassociates.com" e-mail has been
automatically forwarded to our "drugpak.com" mailboxes.
E-mail addressed to DrugPak staff members must be addressed to drugpak.com or they will not reach the intended recipient, and no error message will be returned.
This change was originally announced in the May DrugPak newsletter and this is only a reminder.
Please check your address book(s) for "scanlonassociates.com" addresses and change them to "drugpak.com". Thank you!
